Eva Wyse is a writer/director born and based in Dublin. In 2017 she graduated from Trinity College with an undergrad in Film Studies and Drama Studies. Subsequently Eva spent the summer working in New York at an avant-garde theatre company where she cultivated her passion for experimental storytelling and also worked as a videographer for their Resident Artist Program. Her short film, Mad Cow, was the winner of the June 2018 John Byrne Award where it was described as "visually catchy, provocative and has a powerful message". In September 2018 she completed an MA in Screenwriting at Screen Academy Scotland. After her masters she returned to Ireland and was quickly hired as the sole in-house Production Assistant at the long established production company, Parallel Films. She worked across their film and tv slates providing extensive production support. After this hugely educational experience Eva left Parallel in order to pursue more freelance opportunities in the industry. Following this she was announced as a finalist of the competitive nationwide Youth Music Video Competition 2019. In March 2019 Eva was selected as an LGBT diversity applicant to par-take in an intensive 6 day screenwriting workshop sponsored by Screen Skills Ireland. Her debut music video for Brave Giant had its release in July 2019. Around the same time her micro-short-film Bitch had its festival debut at the Galway Film Fleadh 2019 where it screened as part of the One Minute Film Festival. She is currently working on a variety of music video projects as well as developing a number of short film projects and her feature film script, Marie and Destiny.
